Changes in 5.5.1547 ------------------- - New: Sumatra Fusion is supported again in Sumatra 2026. Fusion now opens modules through the WebClient for Embedding. When you upgrade an installation that has Fusion, setup tells you that you need to run the new setup-fusion.ps1 script afterwards. The script applies the required changes to Exact Synergy and also handles Synergy installations that contain several applications. See the Fusion manual. - New: Sumatra WebUren is supported again in Sumatra 2026. After upgrading, run the WebUren Configurator and choose 'Configure WebUren Site'. This needs the 'WebClient for Embedding (formerly IIS) Components' feature and the .NET Hosting Bundle on the IIS server; the configurator now checks for these and for the .NET Desktop Runtime, and tells you if they are missing. - Minor change: Setup: For unattended installs, /LicenseCode now accepts the contents of a license.key file and replaces any existing license. A quiet upgrade that keeps the existing configuration file no longer requires /LicenseName and /LicenseCode. - Bug fix: FusionXL: Added a page that clears the host name stored in Synergy, for when a migration locks you out of the FusionXL settings page. The FusionXL manual has a new section on migration. - Bug fix: Builder: Add-on modules in .spkg files could show "Module content validation error" instead of the module. Saving the package again in the Builder repairs it. - Bug fix: Server: Queries on the module access views (such as MODULEACCESS) failed after credits were introduced. - Bug fix: WebClient for Embedding: PDFs generated by a report did not show in Edge and Chrome. File names containing ; or non-ASCII characters are also no longer cut off when such a file is opened or downloaded. - Bug fix: WebClient: Fixed scrollbars that sometimes appeared next to search panels, especially at 125% display scaling. - Bug fix: WebClient: Multi-select search panels did not display correctly in modules that still use the 4.3 or 4.4 styles, and were not compacted when space was limited. - Bug fix: WebUren Configurator: The task list could stop with "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object" on some Windows machines, and it was very slow to load. - Bug fix: Setup: With 32-bit Excel, setup could crash part-way through if it failed to install the 32-bit .NET 10 Desktop Runtime. It now checks for this before installing and explains how to install the runtime yourself. - Bug fix: Setup: The link to the WebManager in setup now uses the local http address when there is one. If there is only an https address, setup explains how to add the http binding. Changes in 5.5.1387 ------------------- - Minor change: Enforce server installations to be sequential: Can only install 2026 over a 2025 version, or from scratch, not over 2022 or older. - Bug fix: Some old versions of view.dat contained a corrupt field that would prevent it from working in Sumatra 2026. We now detect and correct it. - Bug fix: Report Wizard for Excel: 32-bit version of Excel would fail to detect the required .dlls for the Report Wizard. It is recommended that users upgrade to 64-bit excel regardless, but this has been fixed. - Bug fix: Setup: 'New version available'-check would sometimes silently fail without retrying. Now retries. - Bug fix: Data model editor, query analyser would prevent adding a newline if the cursor was already at the end of the line. - Bug fix: WebManager: Users table showed Super User checkmark even if the account was disabled.
